Lauren Weedman is a non-disciplinary artist working at the intersections of figurative art, literary self-exposure and the performance of survival. She also works in comedy, though not without tragic affect.

Lauren’s studio practice centers on the application of narrative structure to the construction of value, and on the application of a variety of colors to a variety surfaces.

She is the author of Miss Fortune: Fresh Perspectives on Having it All from Someone Who is NOT OKAY and A Woman Trapped in a Woman’s Body, named one of Kirkus Review’s Top Ten Indie Books of the year. Lauren hosts the popular Moth storytelling slam in Santa Monica, and performs her original theater works across the country.
